About Climbing Mt. Fuji

Starting in 2024, mountain climbing restrictions will be implemented on the Yoshida Route (from July 1 to September 10) on the Yamanashi side of the mountain to prevent bullet climbs and congestion. From 4 p.m. to 3 a.m. the following day, the trail entrance gate at the fifth station will be closed and no one will be allowed to climb Mt. A toll of 2,000 yen is required for passage, which can be reserved & paid for in advance. We would also appreciate your cooperation in paying a separate fee of 1,000 yen as a Mt. Fuji

If you are coming by car and using the Yoshida Route on the Yamanashi Prefecture side, during the car-free period (July 5 to September 10), you can park your car at the “Mt. Fuji fifth station by shuttle bus or taxi.
