Fireworks display around Lake Kawaguchi at the foot of Mt.Fuji

In the Fuji Five Lakes area, fireworks displays are held on each lake for five days from August 1 to August 5 every year.

The “Kawaguchiko Lake Festival” is one of the most famous fireworks festivals in Yamanashi Prefecture, and the fireworks displays held at the other lakes “Lake Yamanaka,” “Lake Nishiko,” “Lake Motosuko,” and “Lake Shojin” also have their own unique characteristics and are outstanding to see. In addition, many “yatai” stalls, a staple of Japanese festivals, will be lined up, allowing visitors to enjoy takoyaki, yakisoba, yakitori, chocolate bananas, and other food stalls while watching the fireworks.
